Something Old, Something Crew
Recently I went to J. Crew in Soho to exchange a pair of Bensimon sneakers I had purchased for my daughter. The line was long, filled with women snapping up rompers, light weight cotton skirts and other kind of perfect pieces from their summer collection. Winding my way toward the register my eyes were drawn to this metal hammerhead bracelet. I slipped it on next to my tried and true Giles & Brother railroad spike cuff and hook with leather lashing wrap—a pair that had become a warm weather fixture. Suddenly it seemed I had filled a gap I didn’t know existed. At $29.50, it was a no-brainer to make this threesome permanent. I only took it off so the sales girl could ring it up and remove the tag.
